Review: This Adventure Ends

Sloane isn’t expecting to fall in with a group of friends when she moves from New York to Florida—especially not a group of friends so intense, so in love, so all-consuming. Yet that’s exactly what happens.
Sloane becomes closest to Vera, a social-media star who lights up any room, and Gabe, Vera’s twin brother and the most serious person Sloane’s ever met. When a beloved painting by the twins’ late mother goes missing, Sloane takes on the responsibility of tracking it down, a journey that takes her across state lines—and ever deeper into the twins’ lives.
Filled with intense and important friendships, a wonderful warts-and-all family, shiveringly good romantic developments, and sharp, witty dialogue, this story is about finding the people you never knew you needed.

Once I started this book, I couldn’t stop.
This Adventure Ends hurls readers to the world of Sloane, a sarcastic high school student. Sloane just moved from New York to Florida, because her dad, an author is in a writing slump. To her surprise, she befriends a very intricate group of friends. Soon, she is on an “adventure” to find a missing painting.
Sloane is SO snarky! I love her personality. She will definitely make you laugh and smile foolishly. She is very caring and a great friend, daughter and sister.
Sloane’s dad is also a super interesting character. He writes romance books and is very funny. I love the bond between Sloane and her dad. All their scenes are very adorable!
Gabe. Gabe. Gabe. Ugh! I don’t even know where to start. He is such a quiet and mysterious character. The romance between Gabe and Sloane is slow. At times, I feel like the author is purposely teasing the readers. Don’t expect full on make out sessions and kissing any time soon.
I really enjoyed This Adventure Ends. Super well written and faced paced. I don’t even know where the time went, when I read this book!
